The Chef  

In 1977, Gérard Fischer began his pre-apprenticeship at the Poste restaurant in Alsace. After two years of highly demanding work, he knew the direction his life would take. In 1979, Gérard entered l'école hôtelière de Strasbourg. Two years later he had earned his certificate of professional cuisine competence.

For several years, Gérard was garnering experience and broadening his mastery of culinary art under the guidance of the head chefs of renowned establishments such as: Maison Kammerzell in Strasbourg , the prestigious Royal Hotel at Evian les Bains, the Royal Cafe in London, England and in 1988, the restaurant Chez Jean Pierre in Ottawa.

His determination and talent pushed him to excel even more, and in 1990, he became chef at the restaurant Le Tartuffe. where he has became Chef-Owner since 1995. His crowning achievement is his regular, faithful clientele, return because of his discriminating cuisine, his style and the freshness of his ingredients.
